What to include

  1. System type

    The system type and what it is used for.

  2. The symptom

    For example a rising differential pressure, scale, pitting, a slimy film or high iron in condensate.

  3. Analysis and readings

    A recent water analysis, and any monitoring readings you keep, such as pH, conductivity, or nitrite or zinc residual.

  4. Recent changes

    Such as the source water, the chemicals used or the operating load.

  5. Consultation mode

    The mode you prefer, if the form offers a choice.

What happens next

  2. More data if needed

    They may ask for more data before suggesting a treatment approach.

  3. Treatment rate

    Never given in advance: it is set from the water analysis and operating conditions.
