Overview

BC 909 CB is a CMIT/MIT based biocide designed to help control bacteria, algae, fungi and slime formation in industrial and commercial cooling water systems, in open and closed loops.

The treatment depends on system volume, microbiological activity, water quality and operating conditions. It may be applied by intermittent or shock treatment according to the system's needs, and the treatment rate is set through microbiological monitoring and water analysis.

Questions about this product

How is biological growth controlled in cooling water?

Control combines a clean, well-drained system, removal of deposits that shelter organisms, and a biocide programme monitored by microbiological testing. Isothiazolinone-based and DBNPA-based biocides are both used in cooling systems, and alternating them is a common way to keep microorganisms from adapting.
