Product code: BO 1500 MP
Neutralizing Amine for Steam and Condensate Systems
Neutralizing amine treatment that helps control acidic condensate corrosion in steam and condensate return systems.

Overview
According to its datasheet, BO 1500 MP is a neutralizing amine treatment designed to help control acidic condensate corrosion by neutralizing carbonic acid and maintaining suitable pH conditions throughout steam and condensate return systems.
The treatment rate depends on the condensate pH, condensate return rate, boiler operating pressure, carbon dioxide concentration, steam and condensate system design and operating conditions, and is set by our technical team from the condensate analysis.

Questions about this product
What causes corrosion in steam condensate lines?
Carbon dioxide from decomposing alkalinity dissolves in condensate to form carbonic acid, which lowers pH and eats away the pipe wall, often as grooving. Oxygen entering the return system adds further attack. A neutralizing amine raises condensate pH so the acid is neutralized along the line.
